Mill Neck Cup: Teeing Off for Children and Adults Who are Deaf

The skies cleared for the Mill Neck Cup & Luxury Spa Day charity event on Monday, July 22, 2019. The exclusive Pine Hollow Country Club quickly filled with golfers and spa guests who promptly made their way to the dining room for a hearty breakfast in preparation of the day’s events.

Presented by the Mill Neck Family of Organizations, the event included a relaxing round of golf, a luxurious day at the spa for the ladies and a lively cocktail dinner.
Contests and prizes were weaved throughout the event like the chance to sink a hole-in-one and win $10,000 courtesy of Van Buren Buick GMC, as well as receive a swag bag and token mementos like a professional photo of their foursome by Golfing Magazine.

Mill Neck’s charity golf event catered to the ladies, too, as they indulged in a day of rejuvenation at the Luxury Spa. They enjoyed massages from Viana Hotel and Spa, make-up tutorials from New York Beauty Institute and Blue Mercury, blowouts from Twist Salon of East Norwich, Reiki treatments by Practice Yoga, facials and more. Guests also participated in private boutique shopping inside of the spa, relaxed by taking a dip in the private pool lounge and joined a yoga class taught by instructors from Oyster Bay Yoga.

After guests were refreshed from the day, they returned to the ballroom for a lively cocktail dinner, which featured a live auction auctioneered by 2017 honoree Matthew Pomara, a presentation of citations from Nassau County Legislator Joshua Lafazan, silent auction gifts and premier raffle prizes. The 2019 Mill Neck Cup trophy was presented to Billy Gorham, C.J Shank, Shamus Barnes and Louis Buttski; and special recognition was given to this year’s honorees, Patrick Wiles and Richard Mongelli.

Funds raised by this event directly benefit The Mill Neck Family of Organizations and our mission.
