This summer, beautiful artwork made by the Deaf Education Center students was displayed throughout the first floor of the Mill Neck Manor.
The student art in the exhibit represented students aged 2-22, and featured themes like multimedia two-dimensional and three-dimensional work inspired by Keith Haring, Georgia O’Keefe, Rene Magritte, Steampunk Counterculture and more!
Kinetic sculptures, drawings, collages, paintings, photographs, computer graphic art and even some custom stenciled garments were all on display.
“I am over-the-moon proud of the hard work, and creative ideas that all my students have shown me throughout the year,” said DEC Art Teacher Stefanie Santodonato-Fisher. “We look forward to our work being featured at the Long Island Children’s Museum in the fall!”
