Staff development is a priority at Mill Neck Services. Professional workshops, study groups, and in-service training are always available for interpreters. Commitment to professional development begins for student interpreters from regional interpreter training programs, operated by LaGuardia Community College and Suffolk Community College, to internships provided within a variety of professional settings. Mentoring services for pre-certified interpreters are arranged, partnering fledgling interpreters with certified mentors.

Mill Neck is now a Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) Supersite (site 199). Candidates for the performance test may contact Mill Neck Interpreter Service at 516-512-6222, extension 1, for dates and times.
