Day Habilitation Specialist
Provide supervision, support, training, and direct care to developmentally disabled adults. Trains participants to interact appropriately with peers/community, perform volunteer tasks to the satisfaction of staff at community sites, and insures protection of program participants from neglect/abuse during community activities. Trains participants to travel independently. Candidate must possess at least an AA/AS degree and a valid driver's license. Fluency in American Sign Language required

Service Coordinator
Provide support, information, and service coordination assistance to Deaf, developmentally disabled adults concerning the development of independent living skills, accessing community resources such as benefits, entitlements, medical and recreational services, advocacy and counseling. Candidate must possess BA degree and a valid driver's license. Prior experience with OMRDD's Home Community Based Waiver system a plus. Fluency in American Sign Language required.

Physical Therapist
Mill Neck is seeking a certified physical therapist to plan, organize and conduct physical therapy in a school setting to facilitate development and rehabilitation with school-age children. Must evaluate and access pre-school and school-age student's current functioning level and determine needs as well as reviews all plans on an ongoing basis. Individual must possess State Certification. Knowledge of sign language a plus.

Part Time Rehabilitation Workers
Provide one-on-one training to Deaf, developmentally disabled adults. Responsibilities include working on individualized goals with the consumer in his/her community; writing brief case notes describing habilitation contacts and attending trainings as required. All contacts are generally in the evening or on weekends. Some college desirable. Driver's license and dependable car a must. Fluency in American Sign Language required.
